Are you rooted in the area around Burnham-on-Sea and Weston-super-Mare? Are you passionate about helping lift people out of fuel poverty? Are you driven to help shape a future where our homes and community buildings are warm, healthy and affordable to live in and energy is a benefit to rather than a drain on our local economy?

Burnham & Weston Energy is recruiting an Energy Saving Programme Manager to manage the operation and growth of our Home Energy Saving Service. Depending on experience and capacity, there’s potential to broaden the role to help us deliver our retrofit ambitions, enable our community and school buildings energy efficiency programmes and oversee our community grant scheme.

Home Energy Saving

Our Home Energy Saving programme is made possible by funding from Somerset Community Foundation. They’re supporting us to work with the amazing Citizens Advice Somerset, Citizens Advice West Somerset, Age UK Somerset and West Somerset Green Forum.

Our aim is to ensure that the most vulnerable people living in these areas receive not only energy-relevant support to which they are entitled, but that we will work holistically. Together we want to be able to flex our solutions and connect with community support groups to meet multiple and complex needs of local people. Our service is instrumental in helping people benefit from warmer homes and lower energy bills, and an important cog in connecting vulnerable people to other locally available help such as food, debt and health services and old fashioned kindness and support from the incredible humans in our communities.
