What’s a retrofit assessment?

It’s essentially an audit of your building’s energy consumption, running costs, and carbon emissions. It will assess your building’s current performance and develop an action plan for cost-effective ways to optimise building systems through a range of cost effective, energy-saving measures. The recommendations can range from little steps to major interventions, helping you to understand the upfront costs, predicted future savings and the practicalities of getting it done.

Smart Communities, part of Community Council for Somerset, are leading a new programme called ‘Decarb Somerset’. It’s focus is  retrofitting community buildings and venues to save money, reduce carbon emissions, and enhance comfort and wellbeing.
